The Baby Buggy Brigade

| Comments
Center City is having a baby boom. That's the news included the latest report from the Center City District.  Some of the other findings about Philadelphia's downtown from the report: residents remain optimistic. The employment picture isn't all that bad and the real estate market is in better shape than most other urban areas. But, the big news is that between 2000 and 2007, more than 15,100 babies were born to Center City parents. It is statistical confirmation for the anecdotal evidence offered by a walk down almost any street in Queen Village or past the playground at the Palumbo Rec Center at 10th and Fitzwater.  The baby buggy brigade is on the march.
