Terms limits on City Council? We don't need no stinkin' terms limits. So went the
reaction Thursday (Jan 28) to Councilman Wilson Goode Jr.'s bill to limit Council members to three terms. Goode said he did it because he felt Council would benefit from new blood. Council's reaction: What's wrong with old blood? It takes three or four terms just to warm up was the way Councilman Frank Rizzo put it. Besides, if the six council members who have signed up for retirement under the DROP program actually retire, it could create a youth movement in 2011.
