Pa2010 reports today (Feb. 23) that state Sen. Anthony Hardy Williams has made it official and is entering the race for governor. The Philadelphia Democrat joins a field that includes Montgomery County Commissioner Joe Hoeffel and Allegheny County executive Dan Onorato and state Auditor General Jack Wagner. Williams says he has raised $1,7 million for the race, though that figure won't be able to be verified until candidates file financial reports later in the campaign. Williams is hedging his bet. He is also running for re-election to the state Senate in the May primary. So, he will be going to Harrisburg regardless next year. The only question is: which parking space in fron the Capitol will he pull into?
