Money Talks

| Comments
And these days it is saying Dan Onorato.  The Allegheny County politician has $6.4 million in the bank to finance his run for the Democratic nomination for governor, according to the latest reports.  That's 9 times more than his nearest rival in fundraising, Auditor General Jack Wagner, who reported having $757,000 on hand, according to the Inquirer.  The other gubernatorial wannabes trailed behind: Scranton Mayor Chris Doherty reported having $444,000 and Montco Commissioner Joe Hoeffel with $347,000.  With most voters not knowing who the heck these guys are, money raised is a barometer of the the viability of the campaign.  Onorato had already declared himself the frontrunner.  This bolsters that claim -- until the next campaign finance report.
