report, and industry and Teamster lobbying against the tax has done its magic. Meanwhile, remember the trash tax? That is DOA, too. Council seems more inclined to handle this year's budget through a combination of a 12 percent increase in the real estate tax and freezing unfilled positions in the city's workforce.
