The on-again, off-again Foxwoods Casino is
off again. Just a few weeks after Las Vegas casino mogul Steve Wynn emerged as the guy to build and run the casino on the Delaware River front, he suddenly withdrew from the project Thursday (April 8). The normally talkative Wynn gave no explanation and his decision left city officials and his erstwhile partners in the venture speechless. They spent most of the day issuing statements expressing their shock and mystification as to why Wynn would walk away from the project so abruptly, especially since he spent several days in town recently touting his plans for the casino. Could this mean the end of Foxwoods?
