The Board of Revision of Taxes will not go gently into that good night. This week, the board, which oversees real estate assessments in the city, challenged Mayor Nutter's bid to have City Hall take over most of its duties and personnel. De facto, the agreement left the BRT with nothing to do -- except wait for a May ballot referendum to abolish the agency. But, the board told Nutter this week that it won't renew that management agreement with the city and it is suing in the state Supreme Court, challenging the legality of the ballot question. Nutter
struck back Thursday (April 8) introducing a bill in Council to cut the salaries of the five BRT members from $70,000 to $18,700.
