Kindergarteners Attacked

| Comments
The Daily News offers a package of stories today (June 8) about children assaulted by staff or other students at Philadelphia public schools and the district's muddled response to the incidents. In one case, a kindergarnter was sexually assaulted in the school bathroom by two older classmates.  In another, the mother of an autistic child claims her son is being beaten by is teacher. The unusual thing about the stories is that the children are named and, in some cases, their pictures used.  Usually, papers won't use the names of young victims but, in this case, the parents agreed because they are so ticked off at the district for its lack of response to the incidents. It adds up to another PR black eye for the district.
