Taps for Greene?

| Comments
It may be time to play taps for Carl Greene's career at the Philadelphia Housing Authority. The embattled PHA director has already had to do a mea culpa for ending up with a big tax lien on his home. "I want to apologize to the world," he told the Inquirer. Now there are more damaging revelations: that the PHA used insurance money to pay off four sexual harassment claims made against Greene -- and never told the PHA board about the charges or the settlements.  Former Mayor John Street, who heads the board and has supported Greene in the past, was not amused the board wasn't told. The five members of the PHA board plan to meet Thursday (Aug. 26) to discuss Greene's future, or lack thereof.
